Art therapy is a therapeutic method in the social-preventive and rehabilitative, in the clinical-psychological and in the delegated complementary-psychotherapeutic field.
Today, art therapy is included in many health care guidelines and in more than half of the acute and rehabilitation clinics as a special therapeutic procedure. The procedure seeks to mirror an inner form of experience in a visual medium – for example a picture, a sculpture or a graphic, and makes it possible to methodically-interventorily reorientate forms of experience and social expression.
